This project was commissioned by Studio Komplekt in 2022, during the ongoing war in Ukraine. Because of my Ukrainian roots, it was an emotional project for me, and I wanted to dedicate it to the mothers who were protecting their children by fleeing the war and leaving everything and everyone behind. Sadly, the project was put on hold just before it was due to launch, as public opinion in Bulgaria is still divided about welcoming refugees and supporting Ukraine. It was a difficult thing to face, and the project remains close to my heart.
